Championing Sheffield community
The Victoria Hall Sheffield has become a hub of activity and home to a number of charities who have offices and run regular activities in the building.
Age Active
Age Active is a registered charity has been providing vital health and fitness sessions to over 50’s in the South Yorkshire area since 1992. Hosting over 30 classes a week, activities include Keep Fit, Line Dancing, Zumba, Sequence Dancing, Tai Chi, Yoga, and Salsa classes.
ASSIST
ASSIST Sheffield provide support to refugees, migrants and asylum seekers living in Sheffield. The service is an invaluable lifeline for refused asylum seekers, offering solidarity, support and hope in the form of accommodation, advice and access to essential services.
Sheffield Methodist District Office
Sheffield Methodist District Offices serve the Methodist Church community across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North East Derbyshire.
Urban Theology Union
UTU is a member-led organisation of Christian leaders. As well as providing training, they also organise and coordinate retreats, sabbaticals, mentoring and consultancy for Church leaders across South Yorkshire.
Food Squad
Food Squad use our kitchen facilities each week to cook a pay-as-you-feel community meal from donated ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away.
They bring people together with good food and good chat, aiming to do their bit against hunger, loneliness and food waste.

Samaritans
The Samaritans Chapel Walk shop offers a wide range of clothing and household items. Moneys raised from the shop funds local Samaritans support services on Queens Road, Sheffield.
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is a service for asylum seekers and refugees to access information, advice and support. It aims to provide a safe space and an open door to meet local people, use a computer, have a cup of tea, read the paper, or simply sit and keep warm.
Sunday Centre
The Sunday Centre is a not-for profit organisation which serves the homeless and vulnerable in Sheffield City Centre, providing hot food and drinks, shelter, non-judgemental advice and the chance to socialise with others.
Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra
Starting life as the 'Sheffield Amateur Symphony Orchestra’ in 1945, the SPO prides itself on its rich musical history, as well as its core ethos of providing a medium for local musicians to flourish, with players of all backgrounds from across Yorkshire & the Humber, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire.
